Introduction
ForkYa! is a mobile application that helps users log meals, review nutrition estimates, understand patterns, and use AI-assisted coaching. This policy explains what data may be collected, how it is used, and the choices users have.
Information users provide
ForkYa! may use information users choose to enter in the app, such as profile details, nutrition goals, dietary preferences, food logs, notes, weight check-ins, bloodwork uploads, and support messages.
On-device storage
Food logs, saved meal images, goals, weight check-ins, imported lab source files, OCR text, draft lab markers, and confirmed biomarker observations are stored by the app on the user's device. Bloodwork source files and biomarker records are written with iOS file protection where the app uses protected local storage.
Food photos and meal data
ForkYa! may process food photos, meal descriptions, ingredients, nutrition estimates, corrections, barcode scans, and nutrition label text to provide food tracking and nutrition insights.
Bloodwork uploads
ForkYa! uses on-device text recognition to read uploaded lab reports where possible. When AI assistance is needed for extraction or when users ask Coach about labs, selected OCR text, low-resolution page images, and confirmed marker context may be sent to AI service providers to provide the feature.
AI processing
ForkYa! may send meal context, photos, voice or text descriptions, nutrition label text, lab context, and related nutrition data to AI service providers over HTTPS to generate estimates, extraction, analysis, and coaching responses. AI requests may include app metadata used to operate, debug, and improve the service.
App usage data
ForkYa! uses analytics to understand onboarding, feature usage, purchases, reliability, and drop-off points. Analytics events may include app version, build, environment, event names, and feature-specific properties.
Purchases and subscriptions
Purchase and subscription status may be processed through the App Store and subscription service providers. ForkYa! does not store full payment card details.
Data retention
Local app data remains on the device until the user edits or deletes it, removes the app, or uses available in-app controls. Data sent to service providers may be retained according to those providers' policies and ForkYa!'s operational needs.
User choices and rights
Users can edit or delete logged data in the app, delete uploaded lab documents, manage subscriptions through the App Store, and contact support for privacy requests. Depending on location, users may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or limit use of personal information.
Legal requests
ForkYa! may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid request from public authorities.
